  • Distill:

    • Meaning: To extract the essential elements; to purify or refine.
    • Sentence: The process of distillation is used to distill water, removing impurities and making it safe to drink.
  • Proportion:

    • Meaning: The relationship in quantity, size, or degree between different parts; a comparative relation.
    • Sentence: It’s important to maintain a proper proportion of ingredients when cooking to achieve the desired taste.
  • Thrift:

    • Meaning: Practicing economical and wise use of resources; frugality.
    • Sentence: Through thrift and saving, she was able to afford her dream vacation.
  • Covenant:

    • Meaning: A formal and binding agreement or contract.
    • Sentence: The two nations entered into a covenant to promote peace and cooperation.
  • Cynical:

    • Meaning: Distrustful of human sincerity or integrity; inclined to question the motives of others.
    • Sentence: His cynical attitude towards politicians made him skeptical of their promises.
  • Linen:

    • Meaning: A textile made from the fibers of the flax plant, often used for sheets and clothing.
